displaced Arsenal striker could head to Falmer Stadium

Eddie Nketiah hasn’t exactly had the break to establish himself in the English Premier League.

He was loaned out to Leeds United, and appears to be leaving Emirates Stadium imminently this summer.

The 22-year-old has one year left on his current contract with the Gunners, but he could end up moving to a new club soon with reports that several teams are interested in hosting the English forward.

Of the teams that have an interest in Nketiah, Brighton appears to be the one in the lead at the time of writing this article. Other teams that have been linked to the forward include West Ham United and Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls are prioritizing a forward for next season to help Neal Maupay score.

Nketiah is reportedly one of Graham Potter’s main targets. Arsenal are reportedly seeking £ 19 million ($ 26.35 million) for the forward, a fee most clubs consider a bit pricey.

But in the case of Brighton, it seems that they plan to negotiate for an acceptable amount.

One thing that could work in their favor is the fact that they already closed a deal for Ben White in July for £ 50 million ($ 69.35 million).

Considering that both parties were able to agree with White, the Seagulls may be hoping to get the same kind of courtesy for Nketiah, who has been underutilized.

If nothing is consumed, Brighton will have to look for other options.

Another forward they might consider is Odsonne Edouard. Celtic and Brighton were previously reported to be in talks over the French player.

The Bhoys have valued Edouard at around £ 20 million ($ 27.74 million), roughly the same amount they plan to pay for Nketiah.

So now it all comes down to who between Edouard and Nketiah that Potter would deem fit for the team next season.

Nketiah has done well in the preseason, something most see as a way to get attention and get a good deal from other teams.

He turned down a new contract with the Gunners, an indication that he is looking for a new home.
