“Disney Speedstorm: The Surprising Competitor to Mario Kart?”

Impossible, at first glance, to see Disney Speedstorm otherwise than as a barely shameless clone of Mario Kart. Many licenses have tried this formula, often breaking their teeth on the asphalt, but there are still some titles that stand out like Crash Team Racing, or Team Sonic Racing (okay , this one is more debatable). Seeing Gameloft take up this formula by adding Disney characters to it smacks of full-nosed opportunism and there was every reason to fear that we were facing yet another soulless copy, but Disney Speedstorm sweeps away these preconceptions with the back of the hand.
