Alberto Reyero, adviser of Social Policies of the Community of Madrid, has dismissed the person in charge of publishing a contract with Room Mate in full scandal for the two apartments that Isabel Díaz Ayuso has rented for only 80 euros a day with that hotel company. On Tuesday night, the regional government contracting portal published, and later deleted, an agreement for 560,000 euros for Enrique Sarasola’s company to convert two of its hotels into nursing homes. Immediately, it replaced it with another with the Coordinator of the Third Sector, of 240,000 euros, attributing to a “human error” the change in the service provider and the amount. Although both the Administration and Room Mate denied that they had any economic ties, the coincidence immediately caused the outbreak of a political controversy that the Community is now trying to close with the dismissal of the Technical Secretary General, Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
Jiménez, according to the investigation opened by Reyero, head of the department responsible for uploading the contract to the portal, would have committed a human administrative error as the person most responsible for managing that information.
His dismissal comes just a few hours after Díaz Ayuso has announced in the Assembly that he will open an internal investigation to determine what has happened so that a contract that he considers non-existent, and by extension, false, was published.
That official version, however, contrasts with the analysis made by prominent voices of the Madrid PP. Very few members of the conservative formation have gone unnoticed that the council that made that unprecedented mistake at the height of the controversy over the president’s apartment is Cs. Nor, that the relationship between the two partners goes through one of its lowest moments. And much less than Reyero, a man of Ignacio Aguado’s confidence, is the counselor most questioned by Díaz Ayuso, after seeing how almost 6,000 people have died in residences in the region.
Meanwhile, the Ministry has already rectified all the information that now appears on the Recruitment Portal. Said rectification has consisted of providing the correct data both of the winner of the contract and of the amounts related to costs.
