For the encroachment on Bau Trang landscape of about 300m2 and the railing of the project protruding the lake, the People’s Committee of Bac Binh district will check in detail, including the legality of this work, to strictly handle it in accordance with the law. .
As Dan Viet reported, Bau Trang landscape was ranked a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on September 3, 2019. The overall landscape of Bau Trang is zoned for protection with a total area of more than 370 hectares, of which area I has an area of 285 hectares; Area II 85 ha including Bau Ong, Bau Ba and Trinh Nu hill.
Through capturing information, Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the Provincial Museum to organize an inspection that the Moon Lake Villa Bau Trang hotel has been built at the shore of Bau Ong lake in Bau Trang landscape.
Through inspection, the construction location of this hotel is located in the southwest of Bau Ong, the frontage is adjacent to the Hoa Thang-Luong Son road.
According to local people, the owner of the above project is a person with a household registration in Ho Chi Minh City and this project was just built in 2023.
Compared with the minutes and maps of Bau Trang landscape protection zone, the area encroaching on area I of the landscape is about 300m2. More seriously, the railing of the construction and the bridge leading to the check-in point has violated and directly impacted the lake.

From the actual situation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed the People’s Committee of Bac Binh district to direct the district’s functional departments; Bau Trang tourist site management board; Hoa Thang Commune People’s Committee established an inspection team to verify the legality of the project.
