Thiruvananthapuram∙ As the court upheld the governor’s decision to give the temporary post of Technical University VC to Dr Sisa Thomas, there was no obstacle for Sisa Thomas who arrived at the university today. The students and some of the employees protesting in front of the university gate ended their protest after yesterday’s court ruling.
PVC did not attend S. Ayub University. The VC visited all relevant departments of the University and held discussions with the staff. It was arranged that pending applications for degree certificates were examined and that the degree certificates were immediately submitted for approval by the Rector and that the results of the concluded evaluation exams were published.
Within two days, the VC will submit a detailed report on the university’s three weeks of operation and backlog to date to the government. The VC is filing a report with the governor following the court’s reference that the governor may take action against the VC if there has been a failure in university administration.
