Discussion – Some legitimate Windows installations cannot be activated. This is happening after the recent cancellation of activation keys from Windows 7 and 8

This is completely incomprehensible to me, and I see it often. I have a cnc machine for carpenters, and some software on it. This software runs on Windows 11 😀 So the whole operating system is started from the game console in order to start some other software on it, which I already control the CNC with. It’s not possible to connect the xbox system to the remote drive for nothing, and no one has come forward yet who knows how to solve it. But ok, it doesn’t matter here (even if it’s sad). In addition, there is a cutting center that schedules how to saw boards. This is a tablet that is attached to a format. Guess what kind of system there must be 😀 Yes, there is a tablet with windows 11. I have not seen anything more disgusting. Not only that it is almost impossible to start it on that 800 euro tablet because of the execution…but half of the thing cannot be read because it is small print, touch control 😀 that is a parody. The saddest device I’ve seen in the last 20 years. But it’s going to connect to a remote disk, so at least that’s it. On that tablet, the mouse is suspended on a cable so that it can be controlled somehow 😀 The solution for such machines, where it is done with one app, is very simple – basic Linux, which does not take up ram, boots in a moment (you need even the entire RAM) and I’m at peace. When I imagine that there are a lot of devices, for example in a hospital, that save lives, and they run on a console operating system, which (in older versions) has to be reinstalled over and over again, or the settings change after the update (even in the encrypted bios!!!) . Sad.
