The man, who realized the fine arts of Caen (Calvados), created and made the garden with his hands. “The first objective sought is to have unity over the entire garden. I want to avoid the multiplicity of small gardens with a ambiance different”, explains the creator.

To do this, Christian Brichard photographed the plan in his head, before realizing it.

It’s important to take the time to imagine your work. Once started, it’s too late.

Christian Brichard, creator of the gardens of the Boisnerie manor

The man built the garden, stone by stone, with the help of Mr. Ribeiro, stonemason, for the manor and the bakery. Two 16th century buildings that embellish the place.

A work to animate the space

The artist was able to count on the four meters height between the road and the top of the garden to set up terraces and offer perspective design.

“You can appreciate the embroidery designs. Moreover, it gives volumes that animate the space. We see a progression in space: crescendo”, explains Christian Brichard who also plays with plantssmall and large leaves, to make the flowerbed dynamic.
