Before the 2013 version by Baz Luhrmann, and before Leonardo Di Caprio, we find another legendary actor in this legendary role: Robert Redford. The actor assumes the elegance, romanticism and power of fascination of the cult character. Beyond the fascinating portrait of this man with a troubled past, the film also offers a critique of the cruelty and idleness of the aristocracy symbolized by the character of Daisy.
