Discotheques, outdoor masks, teleworking, gauges: the calendar for lifting

While the Omicron wave remains at a very high level but gives hope that it will be contained, Prime Minister Jean Castex and Minister of Health Olivier Véran presented a schedule of lifting of certain restrictions put in place.

However, this calendar begins with the application of new measures: the vaccination pass comes into effect on January 24, date on which the booster dose will be open to 12-17 year olds, but without obligation.

The calendar is broken down into three dates: Monday January 24, Wednesday February 2 and Wednesday February 16. Here is the summary :

On Wednesday February 2, it will be the end of compulsory telework, but it will remain recommended. It will also be the end of gauges in sports and cultural facilities, and the lifting of the obligation to wear a mask outdoors.

Wednesday, February 16 will be marked by the reopening of nightclubs and the resumption of concerts. It will again be possible to consume drinks and food in stadiums, cinemas (the return of popcorn), transport.

A reduction in the school protocol will be studied and could take effect upon the return from the winter school holidays. This could result in “the lifting of the wearing of masks for students in elementary schools”, as well as a return to the number of tests or self-tests to be carried out.
