Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Donor Relations, the person occupying the position of Director of Communications will be responsible for the development, implementation and measurement of the communications and marketing activities of mass to ensure that these are aligned with the Foundation’s strategic plan.

With the help of her superior, she will participate in the creation of a communications and mass marketing plan for the Foundation and will be in charge of communications activities promoting, enhancing and protecting the reputation of the image. brand of the organization. She will also be an ambassador for the Foundation with the objective of increasing awareness and donor support for the organization.

The communications team includes a digital communications specialist and a communications advisor. The person occupying the position of director of communications works closely with the director of direct and integrated marketing, the director of media and public relations and the director of stewardship.

Tasks
Operations (70%)

  • Oversee and contribute to the production of all internal and external Foundation communications materials including (but not limited to); magazines, Annual Report, newsletters, brochures, marketing and stewardship materials, multimedia presentations, Foundation website, social media and new media
  • Prepare speaking notes, speeches, presentations and other support materials for the President’s office as required
  • Ensure branding, quality control and provide communications and marketing advice to Foundation staff and key third party partners
  • Responsible for managing relationships with external suppliers
  • Help manage relationships with Foundation ambassadors and influencers

Communications strategy, vision and leadership (30%)

  • Collaborate with our agency to help create and execute compelling mass marketing campaigns through strategies that highlight the Foundation’s impact on the Hospital and raise funds
  • Collaborate with the Director of Direct and Integrated Marketing and the Director of Stewardship to optimize and measure donor acquisition and stewardship programs campaigns across multiple communication channels
  • Act as a positive mentor for the communications team and support the professional growth of each of its members

Your contribution

  • Solid experience in developing marketing communications plans and achieving objectives

  • Bilingualism (French/English) with exceptional writing and proofreading skills in French as well as strong communication skills in English

Skills and Qualifications

  • An undergraduate university degree in marketing, communications or any related discipline, or equivalent work experience as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in communications or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in team management
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and proven experience in optimizing social media, web content and communication technologies such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and management software
  • Experience in fundraising communications is a valuable asset
