A video was sent for the absence of attendance and the director award.

At the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards held on the afternoon of February 9th, the appearance of Lee Si-wan ascending to the stage for the Director’s Award was included. Next, director Bong Joon-ho, the winner of the Director’s Award last year, said that he was not present, and introduced the video he sent instead.

Director Bong Joon-ho said through the video, “As a winner of the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards Director Award, I am happy to receive the award through video.”

He added, “I want to send congratulations applause to all the directors Yang Woo-seok, Yeon Sang-ho, Woo Min-ho, Hong Won-chan, and Lee Hyung-hyeong, who have unchanged wonderful films that have been through a difficult year.

Meanwhile, this year,’Namsan’s Directors’ was named in a total of 10 categories (11 nominations) including the Best Work Award, Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Supporting Actor Award, and Staff Award. Next,’But Save Me from Evil’ in 8 categories (9 nominations),’To Yoon Hee’ in 7 categories, and ’82-year-old Kim Ji-young’ in 6 categories, predicting fierce competition.
