About 25 kilometers from the end of the third stage of the Tour du Beaujolais, the SCO Dijon-Team Materiel-velo.com duo, Lucas Beneteau and Quentin Bezza, broke away from the peloton with Mathias Le Turnier (Bourg-en -Bresse Ain Cycling). “I wanted to try to make a coup. We didn’t think too much about the overall, but especially about the stage victory. We climbed the bump fully, everyone was hanging. On the descent, I told Benet’ (Lucas Beneteau) to follow me. The winner of the morning chrono (read here) was employed. “I took 80% of the relays. At first, for ten terminals, Le Turnier was not driving. There was only one to trap. At worst, we tested the peloton where we had good cards. I finally managed to get it through. I was the strongest, but I won this morning and Benet’ often finished 2nd. His experienced colleague retains the positive. “It would have been great to achieve the double, but it’s still not bad. We rode a nice bike. I had fun being in front with a friend. It’s cool. We played, we lost. It will pay another time. We won this morning, we can’t win all the time, it would be too easy. Yesterday I suffered.
