Digital sculptor behind Diablo IV’s Lilith eyeing collaboration with Gears of War

You’ve probably never heard of Jamir Blanco, but we’re pretty sure you’ve seen some of his work, as he’s a digital sculptor and movie character/creature artist for Blizzard. One of the things he created was Lilith in Diablo IV, and as you know, Blizzard’s cutscenes look really, really good.

Since Blanco is now part of Microsoft following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, he’s now keen to work with another franchise outside of Blizzard… Gears of War.This was revealed in a post by X, who wrotewho “would love to be in some Gears of War moviesproduction”.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has previously said he is open to the idea of ​​having many of Microsoft’s studios share IP and work on different projects. If this means Blanco will eventually be able to work in Gears of War remains to be seen, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that it happens, as it could mean a step up in cutscenes.
