Digital Foundry checkt de Starfield-trailer

While many people, including The Watch, believed that Starfield looks beautiful, Digital Foundry’s technical analysis shows that this isn’t always the case. The trailer is presented in native 4K, but according to the tech platform clearly differs in sharpness in different scenes. The gameplay images also seem to lack any kind of anti-aliasing, so that the sharp edges cannot be counted on one hand. The cutscenes, on the other hand, use a TAA technique similar to that of Fallout 4, which, according to Digital Foundry, is more similar to what we’ll see in the final product.

Of course, Starfield still needs a lot of polish, because the rpg of Bethesda was postponed by more than half a year last month for a reason. De Wacht is therefore confident that the sharp edges will still be smoothed out. In addition, you also have to be a real tech savvy to see these kinds of things with the naked eye. It’s good that Digital Foundry is looking into things like this, but let’s not get too carried away. De Wacht thought the trailer looked slick and the minor glitches it saw, Bethesda will certainly fix before release. What did you think? Did you notice the issues that Digital Foundry raises, or was everything a piece of cake?
