The Milwaukee Brewers acquired infielder Eduardo Escobar from the Arizona Diamondbacks in return for two prospects on Wednesday.
In return, the D-backs get outfielder Cooper Hummel and infielder Alberto Ciprian.
Escobar represented the Diamondbacks in the All-Star Game this season. He’s averaging .246 with 22 homers and 65 RBIs in 98 games.
The 32-year-old Venezuelan struggled in the cropped 2020 season but impressed in 2019 in his first full season in Arizona, amassing 35 homers and 118 RBIs in addition to leading the National League with 10 trebles.
