DHL & Deutsche Post with many innovations: What you can look forward to as a customer

At the end of 2020, the mobile stamp will replace the “cell phone postage”. For the customer, this means: There are no additional costs through your own mobile operator. Instead, you simply pay the postage via the app and then receive a code that you write on the letter or envelope by hand. This can then be read out by Deutsche Post and delivered as normal.

DHL also plans to significantly expand the parcel stations by 2021. By then, the 4,500 vending machines available throughout Germany should become 7,000 by then. A completely new machine, the “Post & Paket 24/7” is supposed to offer not only the receipt of parcels and the sending of letters, but also the cashless purchase of postage and parcel stamps. According to the current plans, a video chat should also be added, through which customers can receive support.
