Officers are currently doing fogging in Mesuji district. Special

Mesuji (Lampost.co) – There were six cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Mesuji Regency during December 2021. This figure has increased because it is entering the rainy season.

Head of Disease Control and Prevention, Mesuji Health Office, Suyono, said that in December there were six cases of dengue fever.

“Two cases are in Brabasan, Tanjung Raya District, one is in Mesuji District, and the rest are spread to several other sub-districts. Cases are starting to increase considering Mesuji is entering the rainy season,” said Suyono, Monday, December 20, 2021.

According to Suyono, so far the Mesuji Health Service has recorded 17 cases of dengue fever.

“Our counseling has been intensified since the beginning of the year. When there are cases, we immediately do tracking or epidemiological observations to find out if there are larvae and other cases around the initial case,” he continued.

Currently, Suyono admits that his party has made various anticipations to suppress the spike in dengue cases, starting with fogging.

“When new cases are found, fogging is not immediately carried out, there is a process to go through. Of course we ask the community to keep the environment clean, especially from puddles of water,” he said.
