The first division clubs were contacted by the chairman of the supervisory board of DFL GmbH, the CFO Peter Peters from Schalke, the clubs in the second division by DFL vice president Steffen Schneekloth, club boss of Holstein Kiel. In addition, DFL board member Christian Seifert criticized “the polyphony” in a letter to all 36 professional clubs and swore them “indirectly on one line”, the FAZ reported.

On April 23, the 36 professional clubs want to discuss how to proceed at an extraordinary DFL general meeting.
