Fortuna Düsseldorf has reached the 2nd round of the DFB Cup. Meanwhile, Greuther Fürth, who were relegated to the Bundesliga, made a fool of themselves at an upper division club.
Second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf has entered the second round of the DFB Cup for the eighth time in a row. The two-time cup winner won the regional league team Kickers Offenbach 4-1 (1-0). Andre Hoffmann (34′), Kristoffer Peterson (54′) and Daniel Ginczek (71′, 79′) scored the goals for the Rhinelanders. Jakob Lemmer (57th) shortened for the Kickers in the meantime.
