Dezere was not worried and she and her sister Valentina secretly went to a nearby village inhabited by the Germans. They went from house to house to baptize children and adults, giving them scriptures they had secretly copied. If the two are found, it means they will be forced to work for another 20 years.
Dezeer arrived in Karaganda in the late 1950s, when the special settlement was abandoned. There he became a member of the Franciscan Third Order, fully dedicated to serving the many local believers until his death in 1971. Dezere is a model for the evangelization of the laity.
