Devers and Renfroe respond to bat in Boston win

Rafael Devers and Hunter Renfroe homered, Nick Pivetta scored the win for the third straight start and the Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-3 on Sunday.

Boston has won five of its last six games and owns the best major league record, 22-13. For their part, the Orioles fell to the worst major league record for home games, 4-13, which includes 0-6 against the Red Sox.

Devers, who hit his home run off Baltimore starter Dean Kremer in the second inning, added a two-run double to reliever Adam Plutko’s pitch in the sixth inning to give Boston a 3-2 lead.
