A temporary bus station is set up in Colomiers. The operation is part of the preparatory phase of the Toulouse “third metro line” project.

The construction of a temporary bus station is underway on the François-Mitterrand esplanade in Colomiers (Haute-Garonne). The works, entrusted to Eurovia, were launched on March 28, 2022. They will last seven weeks.

This temporary station is part of the preparatory developments for the creation of the third line of the Toulouse metro. According to the details of this project, four other bus stations will be set up to serve the stations of La Vache, Sept Deniers, Toulouse-Lautrec and Labège La Cadène.

Remember that the future Toulouse metro line should facilitate the connection between the east and west of the northern part of the agglomeration. With its 21 stations scattered over 27 km of lines, it should allow 200,000 travelers a day to move more freely from mainland France to the outskirts, and vice versa. According to forecasts, it will enter service by 2030.
