Details appeared on the engine range of the new Nissan X-Trail

American journalists managed to find out details about the engine range of the new Nissan Rogue (sold in Russia under the name X-Trail) from internal documents of the Japanese brand intended for corporate clients.

The technical documentation states that the all-terrain vehicle will keep the tested 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine under the hood, however, the unit is waiting for modernization: the output will increase to 182 horsepower, torque – up to 249 Nm. This is 10 horsepower and 12 Nm more than the current generation model.

It is argued that the modified unit will become not only more flexible and more powerful, but also more economical: passport fuel consumption in the combined cycle will decrease from 8.1 liters to 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers. There is no evidence that the new Rogue will receive a rechargeable hybrid powerplant from Outlander PHEV yet: it is likely that the gasoline-electric modification of the crossover will debut in Europe, and in the United States sales will begin with a non-alternative engine 2.5.
