Despistaos begins to celebrate its 20th anniversary as a band | Music

20 years ago Guadalajara welcomed with open arms the formation of a pop-rock band that over the years would become one of the most charismatic in our country. In these two decades there has been everything: change of components, records and more records, collaborations and even a few years of break to recharge batteries. For all this, despistos is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style.

The band has already launched the business card of the celebrations of these two decades of music by re-recording one of their most popular songs, Estrellanext to La La Love You. Dani Marco, Jose Crespo, Lazaro Fernandez and Pablo Alonso have combined their talents Roberto Amor, David Merino, Celia Becks and Carlos Díez, current members of the Madrid group. “They have given a new color to the well-known song and together they have achieved an even more powerful sound than in the original version. They have recorded with the entire band and with Tato Latorre as producer,” says the press release for the premiere.

The result is a much more rocky song than the original whose video clip was recorded a few weeks ago at the Nature Boulevard of the Ensanche de Vallecas. Despistaos, one of the few bands on the Spanish scene that still stands the test of time, is back after the release of their tenth album, Ilusionismo, last April.

Thus begins a new and exciting stage to celebrate its 20th anniversary as a band. And in addition to the premiere of this song, they will do so with a tour in 2023 in which all those great songs that have accompanied them all these years will be played and with the publication of new versions of their most emblematic songs together with luxury collaborators.
