The report warns (Abu Muhammad) not to stop taking medications on time, stressing that it will lead to the failure of the previous surgery (kidney transplant), and prevent the transplanted kidney from performing its work, which puts his life at risk.

The patient, an Indian national, 51 years old, appealed to benevolent people and those with merciful hearts, to help him secure the cost of medicines and medicines that he needs, indicating that he is living in difficult financial conditions.

Abu Muhammad told Emirates Today that his illness began in January 2000, when he suffered from kidney problems, which led to acute kidney failure.

He said that the doctors assured him of the need to undergo a kidney transplant, after the dialysis sessions became useless, due to his deteriorating health condition.

The patient added that he had to travel outside the country to undergo a kidney transplant, due to his difficult financial situation, adding that the operation was a success.

He said that the doctors stressed the need for him to take post-operative medications on a regular basis, so that the kidneys would not stop working, but he could not buy the medications, due to his difficult financial conditions, which exposed him to several health problems, as a result of which he was admitted to Al-Ain Hospital, where he underwent examinations. medical kit.

And it became clear, after the doctors examined him, that he needs medicines that he takes daily, pointing out that health insurance covers 70% of the cost of medicines. While the patient bears the remaining amount of 17,196 dirhams for a year.

The patient confirmed that the amount exceeds his modest financial capabilities, explaining that he is the sole breadwinner for his family of six people, and he works in a government agency in Al Ain with a salary of 4,500 dirhams, from which he pays the rental installments of the house.

(Abu Muhammad) said that he is unable to afford the cost of his treatment in light of the difficult circumstances he is living in, pointing out that he knocked on all doors, and tried to borrow from acquaintances and friends, but all his efforts failed.

He added that he would not be able to afford his percentage of the cost of the medicines he needs for the next month, and he is afraid to stop taking them, because his life will be in danger, appealing to good people and those with compassionate hearts who are able to help him in managing the cost of his medicines.
