Frankfurt am Main. While other shops are fighting for their livelihoods due to the lockdown, designer Philipp Plein is celebrating the opening of a new shop in Frankfurt. “Normally we would have a party out here now,” said the 43-year-old in an interview with “RTL“. However, this must be due to the corona. And it is still uncertain when the fashion designer will be able to receive the first customers.

Nevertheless, he opened the shop during the lockdown – for a simple reason: “The shop has now been completed, simply because we’ve been paying rent for a year,” Plein told RTL. The store extends over three floors and is around 400 square meters in size.
Last year, a shop of the fashion designer in Paris was looted. A group of people broke the window of the shop and stole several items of clothing.
