Deputy Director Kim In-ho appointed as ADD Director

The Ministry of Defense announced on the 7th that it has appointed ADD Deputy Director Kim In-ho as the new ADD (Defense Science Research Institute) director.

New Director Kim In-ho has been serving as an acting director of ADD since former director Chung Hong-yong, who was accused of corruption in the defense business, voluntarily resigned on the 7th of last month.

Director Kim received Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.

General Director Kim will be in charge of developing weapon system technologies, including AESA (multifunctional phase arrangement) technology, which is the core equipment of the Korean fighter jet (KF-X) business, following his former General Director Jung.

The Ministry of Defense said, “Major Kim is an atomic nuclear engineer with a solid view of the country and a wealth of knowledge and organizational management capabilities in the field of science and technology,” and said, “A qualified person with all the qualities necessary to lead ADD.”

The Ministry of Defense added, “As a trusted person is appointed as Director of ADD, we expect to play a leading role in the development of the field of defense science.”
