Depok Pilkada Debate Heats Up, Afifah Feeling Harassed by Imam Budi Hartono

DEPOK, KOMPAS.com – Candidate for deputy mayor of Depok serial number 1, Afifah Alia | in today’s public debate bringing up past incidents which he considers verbal abuse by his rivals, Imam Budi Hartono on one occasion in Bandung.

Earlier, Afifah’s opponent, Mohammad Idris-Imam Budi Hartono asked about the gender development index (IPG).

Imam also had time to tease Afifah who often did not understand the technical terms, he said, “If (Afifah) wants to know, later I WA (WhatsApp)”.

As soon as Afifah’s opportunity to answer came, he immediately brought up the incident.

“Pak Imam never WhatsApp me, I am still traumatized by the incident in Bandung,” said Afifah in a debate, Friday (4/12/2020).

The incident of verbal harassment in question began when the two camps were about to undergo a medical test at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung as one of the requirements to advance in Bandung. Pilkada in Depok 2020.

Ahead of the distribution of rooms, Imam joked about the invitation to a roommate.

Afifah’s version, Imam said, “I share the same room, Bu Afifah” at that time, immediately greeted with laughter from the Imam couple, Mohammad Idris.

Meanwhile, in the Imam’s version, he admitted that he was talking to medical personnel, “if (in a room) together, I answered, I could share the same room with Afifah, my grandson”.

The words “my grandson”, said Imam, were not heard by Afifah and created misperceptions.
