Our last conversation with Martin Gore, keyboardist, guitarist, main songwriter and composer of Depeche Mode, dates back to 2013 in Paris. With his accomplice Andrew Fletcher, he had talked a lot about their album “Delta Machine”. But on Tuesday, in an old Berlin theater created by playwright Bertolt Brecht, Martin Gore and singer Dave Gahan announced their return as two, without the third founding member of the British group. Their friend “Fletch” died suddenly on May 26 from aortic dissection, a rare vascular disease. He was 60 years old.
