Dengue: 10 cases identified in total

10 cases of dengue have been detected to date in Mauritius. They have been identified in the Port-Louis region. This is what emerges from a press release issued by the Ministry of Health on Saturday March 14.

All the patients were taken care of by the ministry. They are all in stable health.

“The Ministry of Health and Welfare has initiated all of the public health measures applicable in such a situation. The region concerned is thus subject to fumigation exercises on a daily basis and larvicidal products are also applied in areas considered to be at risk, on a regular basis, ”the press release said.

The inhabitants of the regions concerned have also been made aware of dengue fever. They received mosquito repellants.

The ministry has also set up health surveillance in the area concerned. Random and targeted tests are carried out on a regular basis.

These measures will remain in effect as long as the situation does not return to normal.
