Dijon, March 14, 2023,

A decisive week: in the street, Wednesday, Thursday and the following days !

Since Saturday evening, the government has been repeating that the adoption of the reform by the Senate… after having used article 44-3 (blocked vote) is a victory. He clings to what he can to try to find a pseudo legitimacy against the majority of the population which rejects this immense social decline. Unfortunately for him, his de facto minority within the hemicycle is obvious, which leads him today more than ever to consider a forced passage through 49.3 ! It is at least a democratic vice but more certainly a real denial of social democracy.

Indeed, while we are witnessing the greatest social mobilization of the last three decades, the government in a weak position still does not wish to negotiate, nor even to receive the trade union organizations as illustrated by the refusal of the President of the Republic to receive the union. Since Thursday, January 19, millions of people have been mobilizing, in particular through huge demonstrations throughout the territory. Renewable strikes have now been underway for several days in a large number of sectors, the effects of which are beginning to be visible. ! Actions to block the economy are at work everywhere, as was the case this morning in the industrial zone of Longvic (21) by blocking access to the oil depot. These will multiply in the coming days.

Our trade union organization calls on the population to participate massively in the demonstrations on Wednesday, March 15, the day of the Joint Joint Commission (CMP), in particular through the strike.

Also, our union organization will continue to fight this despicable reform even if it is adopted by the Assembly. In any case, the prospect of a 49.3 must strengthen our determination and certainly not our resignation. ! This is why we are calling for a demonstration this Thursday, March 16 from 5:30 p.m., Place de la République in Dijon.

The government is counting on the rapid adoption of the text, thinking that the social movement in the streets will retreat ! He’s wrong, let’s prove him !
