Sanders is criticized in the US Democrats’ TV debate
The leading candidate Bernie Sanders was hit hard by his rivals during the television debate of US Democrats’ presidential applicants. Former South Bend Mayor of Indiana, Pete Buttigieg, warned of the consequences of Sanders’ election as a presidential candidate.
Should Sanders become the Democratic presidential candidate, it will not only threaten the re-election of Republican incumbent Donald Trump. The Democrats could then lose their majority in the House of Representatives and their chances of recapturing the Senate from the Republicans.
Before the important area code in the US state of South Carolina, applicants for the presidential candidacy met on Tuesday evening for their tenth television debate. A total of seven of the eight remaining Democratic applicants had qualified for the debate in Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday night. In the race for candidacy, left-wing Senator Sanders is in the lead after three primaries.
