Dell website lists new UltraSharp screens with USB-C with PD up to 65W – update – Computer – News

Dell is likely to release two new monitors in the UltraSharp series soon. Information about the U2421HE and U2721DE has been posted on the company’s website. The screens each receive a USB-C connection, with support for USB-PD up to 65W.

The two screens were discovered by Tftcentral. The U2421HE and U2721DE have an image diagonal of 23.8 “and 27” respectively. The latter has a 1440p panel of the ips type, while the 23.8 “variant has an ips panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The larger version also has a higher brightness, with 350cd / m². The smaller model has a brightness of 250cd / m² Both screens have a refresh rate of 60Hz.

Furthermore, both monitors have similar specifications. For example, they both offer an 8ms ggg response time, although this can be lowered to 5ms in ‘fast mode’. The screens can both display 99 percent of the srgb color space and 85 percent of the dci-p3 color spectrum. The monitors also offer similar viewing angles: Dell states that the screens have a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Furthermore, the monitors seem to have relatively small screen edges.

Both the U2421HE and U2721DE have a DisplayPort 1.4 connector, an HDMI 1.4 connector and a USB-C connector with support for USB-PD up to 65W. For example, the screens can charge a laptop via USB-C, provided the power of 65W is sufficient. The monitors also have a DisplayPort output, a four-port USB hub, an RJ45 Ethernet jack and a 3.5mm audio jack. The included monitor stand can be adjusted in height, and can also be rotated and tilted.

The 23.8 “variant is already for sale on the UK Dell website. The screen currently costs 267 pounds, converted about 306 euros. The 27 “variant has also surfaced, and currently costs £ 489. That is converted approximately 560 euros. It is not yet known when Dell plans to release the screens in the Netherlands and Belgium. Presumably this will happen soon as information about the products is already on the UK website of the company.

Update, 11:07: A Tweakers user reports that the screens are available for purchase on the Dell UK website. This has been added to the article.
