25/11/21 – Acquisition – Wilmington, Delaware Art Museum – Because the different paintings that punctuated the paneling of the room lacked stylistic unity, William Morris had them redone. It was he who supervised the decor of the ” green dining room ” of the South Kensington Museum, which has since become the Victoria & Albert Museum (ill. 1). The order was placed in 1866 to his company, Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, which he had created in 1861 with other artists, in order to produce wall decorations as well as stained glass, sculptures or textiles …
