Defeat PSM, PSS Finish Third

PSS Sleman grabbed third place at Menpora Cup 2021. Super Elja got it after defeating it PSM Makassar 2-1.

In a match at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java, Saturday (24/4/2021), PSM and PSS still had minimal opportunities in the first 15 minutes of the match.

There was 1 PSS attempt via Rafi Anggap in the 15th minute which was blocked, while Yakob Sayuri’s effort in the seventh minute was right on target but it did not produce results.

PSS’s long-range shot by Derry Rachman in the 17th minute was still not on target. The direction is still shooting.

PSS get a penalty in the 30th minute. Irkham Mila was violated by Hasim Kipuw in the 16 meter box, the referee who led the match, Thoriq Alkatiri, pointed to the spot.

After the water break, Irfan Jaya gave PSS a 1-0 lead. Player number 41’s penalty kick outwitted PSM goalkeeper Hilmansyah.

PSS played with 10 players in the 38th minute. Fandry Imbiri violated Yance Sayuri, so he had to get a red card from the referee.

PSM tried hard to press in the final five minutes of the match. On the other hand, PSS remained very solid until the score lasted 2-1 for the Super Elja victory.
