XALIMANEWS- The defamation lawsuit which pits the mayor of Guédiawaye, Aliou Sall, against Ahmed Aïdara was held yesterday before the correctional court of Dakar. The brother of the President of the Republic who felt defamed on the radio “Zik Fm”, had filed a complaint against the director general of “Zik Fm”, Bougane Guèye Dani and his employee Ahmed Aïdara, respectively for defamation and complicity in defamation. According to the newspaper L’As, the lawyer for the civil party claimed a billion from the boss of the D-Media group and his employee who were absent from the room. Me Sadel Ndiaye denounced the attitude of Ahmed Aïdara who hastens to drag people through the mud. According to the black dress, her client was dragged in the mud by Mr. Aïdara whose press review “is more serious”. After denying the accusations of Ahmed Aïdara, he maintained that the accused deserve severe sanctions, especially since they did not defer the summons. The prosecutor, on the other hand, requested the application of the law. The verdict will be released on September 17 after the court recess.
