Debunking the Manipulated Anti-Ukraine Ad on New York’s 5th Avenue

A video purports to show an anti-Ukraine ad that was posted on the facade of a store on 5th Avenue, one of New York’s best-known and busiest. But everything indicates that the video is actually edited.

Verification in a nutshell:

A video shows a billboard for the Tiffany and Co store on New York’s 5th Avenue. An advertisement is displayed there, which reads “No Zelensky, no war” in English.

A video from 2021 shows the exact same scene, but instead of the anti-Ukraine message, another advertisement can be seen stating that the viral video has been manipulated.

Details of the check:

On July 1, 2023, “Russian Market”, a pro-Russian twitter account, publishes a video where you can see a billboard installed on the facade of the Tiffany and Co. store, a jewelry store, in New York.

But an inconsistency first puts on the trail of a video filmed before the war in Ukraine.
