Debt collection companies ‘Gelvora’ and ‘Sergel’ merge

With the State Notary of the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia 11.10.2018. a decision has been made in the commercial register regarding the completion of the reorganization started this summer, and Swedish the addition of SIA Sergel, a subsidiary of the financial holding Marginalen AB, to SIA Gelvora, which is indirectly owned by the same holding. All rights and obligations of SIA “Sergel” have been transferred to SIA “Gelvora”, which after the merger will take the place of SIA “Sergel” in legal relations with debtors, customers and cooperation partners.

In 2017, the Swedish financial holding Marginalen AB from the group Telia Company AB acquired the Sergel group of companies represented in six countries, including the out-of-court debt recovery company SIA Sergel registered in Latvia. Taking into account that “Marginalen AB” in Latvia also indirectly owns the branch company SIA “Gelvora”, in the summer of 2018 a decision was made to merge the two companies.

The “Sergel” brand will not disappear from Latvia – after the reorganization, SIA “Gelvora” will continue to use both brands in its commercial activities, giving preference to the “Sergel” brand in those market segments where SIA “Sergel” has successfully practiced before the reorganization.

In 2017, the profit of SIA “Sergel” was 181,385 euros, but the turnover – 1,360,131 euros, while SIA “Gelvora” worked with a profit of 2,444,588 euros, and its turnover reached 3,781,353 euros.
