Deaths from COVID-19 in Mexico increase to 2,271; Ministry of Health registers 24 thousand 905 infections

Mexico has 24,905 positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), as confirmed by the Health Secretary of the Federal Government.

In a press conference they affirmed that the number of cases of active cases is 6,696 and 2,271 deaths have been registered.

They also announced that the number of accumulated suspected cases is 13,143 and the number of negative cases amounts to 61,993.

In the last report, dated May 3, 23 thousand 471 positive cases, 6 thousand 933 active and 2,154 deaths were confirmed.

During the day the State of New Lion confirmed that in the entity the number of positive cases amounted to 828.

In Coahuila, the Ministry of Health confirmed this morning that the entity has 480 positive cases.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Here we leave you some recommendations made by health authorities to prevent the spread of the virus

– Wash your hands carefully: with soap and water, rub your palms and the back of your hands, between your fingers and nails.

– Avoid touching your face, especially your eyes, nose and mouth.

– Avoid direct contact with people sick with a cold or flu.

– Use antibacterial gel.

– If you sneeze or cough, do it on the inside of the elbow or in a disposable tissue.
