505 Games and Kojima Productions are happy to announce the release date for the PC version of Death Stranding today. The game will be available digitally from June 2, 2020 in the Epic Game Store, as well as on Steam and at the same time in retail stores. For Death Stranding, the PC release also includes photo mode, a high frame rate and support for ultra-wide displays, for an extended gaming experience for PC gamers. 505 Games also announces that the PC version will feature content from Valve’s iconic franchise Half-Life.
Developed by Kojima Productions, Death Stranding has been one of the most anticipated projects of the past decade. With Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges, the game’s setting is set in the near future, where mysterious explosions have torn apart the planet and triggered a series of supernatural events known as “Stranded Death”. With spectral creatures that plague the environment and bring the planet to the limit of mass destruction, it is up to Sam to travel between the desolate wastes to save humanity from destruction.
Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux also act as actors and voice actors on this pioneering adventure by legendary game creator Hideo Kojima.
Pre-orders for the PC version of Death Stranding are now available at a standard price of € 59.99. All players who pre-order Death Stranding for PC will receive unique digital additional content, including HD screen backgrounds, as well as golden and other cosmetic in-game content.
In addition to the standard version of the game, 505 Games offer also includes a selection of artwork from the digital book “The Art of Death Stranding (by Titan Books), the Death Stranding Original Score in the Expanded Edition as a digital soundtrack – which is Ludvig Forssell’s award-winning title (published by Sony Music), as well as some as yet unpublished tracks. There are also cosmetic items, such as the golden, self-tinting cap from Sam and the “Ludens Mask” sunglasses, as well as a gold and silver body armor and gold and silver power skeletons that can be used on all terrain. The physical Day One edition, which will be available in stores at a price of € 69.99, has the same content and also comes in a steel book with special front artwork.
Death Stranding was released on November 8, 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and will also be released for the PC on June 2, 2020.
