LAKE – Tasikmalaya City DPRD Chairman H Aslim explained that all parties must increase their vigilance because dengue fever (DHF) cases in Tasikmalaya City are high. Moreover, DHF is no less dangerous than Covid-19.

“Don’t focus on Covid-19, DBD is set aside,” Aslim said at the Tasikmalaya City DPRD Building, as quoted by Radar Tasikmalaya (Fajar Indonesia Network GruP), Saturday (27/6).

At present, said Aslim, there must be massive prevention of DHF. Moreover, the technical prevention is not much different from the prevention of Covid-19.

“The difference is only the spread. For prevention the same is a healthy and clean lifestyle, “said the Gerindra Party politician.

Aslim suggested the Tasikmalaya City Government also had to optimize the remnants of the budget for handling DHF. Although the current budget conditions have all been allocated for the prevention and handling of Covid-19.

“Optimize the remaining budget that is still available for DBD so that it does not become an extraordinary event,” he explained.

When mentioned regarding the determination of the status of an extraordinary event (KLB), said Aslim, it was the policy of the City of Tasikmalaya Government. Determination of CDE seen from various factors and not only from the number of citizens who died.

“That is government policy. The most important thing right now is prevention and treatment so that no more people die from dengue, “he said.

On the same occasion, a member of the West Java Provincial Parliament H By Soleh said, for now the case of dengue in West Java is high. One of them is Tasikmalaya City. For this reason, he said, there must be serious handling from every local government for prevention.

“Don’t let this DBD be forgotten, because it’s the same danger. Even those who have died from dengue fever are quite a lot, “said the PKB politician.

Seeing the high number of dengue cases in the City of Tasikmalaya, said By, in addition to increased prevention efforts, the community must also improve healthy lifestyles by improving clean lifestyles (PHBS). “Because it’s one of the effective prevention methods for DHF,” he said.

Although currently faced with Covid-19, the outpouring of thoughts and budgets of each region, said Oleh, should not be neglected in handling DHF.

“The remaining budget and activities, especially those that have no impact, can be allocated to DHF,” he said.

While to date, dengue fever cases in Tasikmalaya Regency have reached 60 cases. One of them, children died.

“We just got a report that 1 person died because of DHF and that was a child,” said the Head of P2P Section of the Tasikmalaya District Health Office, Atang Sumardi, Saturday (6/27).

He received a report that the 8-year-old boy from Cisayong District died on June 26, 2020. “He died yesterday at around 05.00. Up to now, only one person has reported dengue cases, “he said. (ujg)
