Third overall Polish victory within four years
Before the last show jumping, last year’s winner Ryoyu Kobayashi (Jap), Karl Geiger (De), surprise man Marius Lindvik (Nor) and leader Dawid Kubacki had four jumpers to hope for the overall victory. On the Paul Ausserleitner hill, on which Kubacki holds the hill record (145 meters), the Pole flies hard around the ears of the rest of the ski jumping world. In the final jump he flies to 140.5 meters and refers Geiger (2nd) and Lindvik (3rd) to the places of honor. Defending champion and overall World Cup leader Kobayashi falls out of the decision in the first round and finishes seventh.
