David Dvořák is very unlucky. Next Saturday, after two defeats in a row, he will have another fight in the UFC, and this time it was not without difficulties. His opponent was injured shortly before the tournament and the organization was looking for a replacement for him. What were his feelings at the moment when he learned the information and had no idea if he would even wrestle?
On June 10, David Dvořák will return to the cage from which he left in mid-December last year as a loser after being defeated by Manel Kape.
The opponent of the Czech fighter was supposed to be Matt Schnell, but unfortunately he was injured and the UFC had to immediately look for a replacement so that Dvořák’s preparation did not go to waste.
His partner Patrik Kincl, who traveled with him to Vancouver after the win over Karlos Vémola, outlined the whole situation in a vlog and provided fans with the feelings of Dvořák himself.
“David’s opponent got injured, which is annoying. We’re in Vancouver, which means we’ve got our flights paid for, we’ve got our accommodation paid for. And since Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities in the world in terms of accommodation, we are quite at a disadvantage,” said Kincl in role.
“I just ate, I was happy to have lunch and now this. I hate this, this change. One prepares for something for several months, toils, it costs a lot of money, effort, and time, and now to wait, if someone comes along, then the opponent can be stylistically completely different. Great,Dvořák added.
Both of them were probably most worried about someone taking the match at all at that moment. In addition, Kincl explained that even if he wins, it will not move Dvořák anywhere, because his opponent will not be in the UFC rankings.
Now the situation is at least a little brighter. The new opponent is the Australian Stephen Erceg, who is awaiting his debut in the UFC. He was supposed to have a match in May, but he encountered a similar situation as Dvořák and thanks to that he is in full preparation.
