The breakdown in the corona tests for holiday returnees in Bavaria has caused a stir nationwide. 44,000 returnees were not informed about their test results at all or were informed extremely late – including 949 corona-positives. For the retired hygiene inspector Oskar Weinig from Höchberg (district of Würzburg) the events did not come as a surprise. “The data breach would have been avoidable,” says the former chairman of the Federal Association of Hygiene Inspectors.
