Darwin Nunez showing improved performance this season together Liverpool. It was revealed that he often confided in his senior, Luis Suarez.
Nunez has become increasingly involved in Liverpool’s games this season. Last season he shone, but then experienced a number of obstacles and a period of lack of goals.
This time the 24 year old striker showed improvement. In terms of sharpness, for example, his goal ratio has increased from one goal per 157 minutes last season to one goal per 124 minutes this season.
He has collected seven goals in 17 matches, while last season he scored a total of 15 goals in 42 appearances. The number of assists currently is even higher, namely six compared to four last season.
Earlier this month, the Liverpool manager said that one of the reasons for Nunez’s improved performance was his improved English skills. That makes it easier for him to communicate with teammates.
Meanwhile, off the field, he apparently received help from former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The two of them often communicate, especially when Nunez struggled last season.
“He has potential, technical ability and physical strength which he is showing now. As a teammate, I am not surprised because I knew from the start,” said Suarez as reported Football365.
“Even when he had a difficult period at Liverpool last season, I spoke to him. At Liverpool, they told me to advise him, I reminded him and told him what English football was like.”
“He, with his big heart, opened up and told us what happened to him at that time. We talked about it,” he added.
