The National Weather Service predicted on August 2 dangerous heat for southern California and eastern Arizona.
Dangerous heat will be generated southwestern Arizona and southeastern California from noon on August 3 to 10:00 pm on August 4.
The temperature will be between 107ºF (41.6ºC) and 112ºF (44.4ºC) in the impacted areas.
Precautions
The National Weather Service warned that “Overexposure can cause heat cramps and exhaustion”He also explained that in the long run it can cause a condition called “heat stroke.”
“Drink lots of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and keep an eye on relatives and neighbors. Children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles, under any circumstances ”,
the entity warned.
Affected areas
Some affected areas in California will be the valleys of Coachella, Apple, Lucerne and the deserts of San Diego County.
In Arizona, some areas with dangerous heat will be the counties of Yuma and Imperial, as well as the cities of Phoenix, Calexico, Yuma, Winona, Coyote Wells, Palo Verde, El Centro, Ocotillo, Ripley and Plaster City.
