Emma Schweiger was already a star of the German acting scene as a teenager. This is often not easy for Til Schweiger’s daughter in everyday life and she emigrated to the United States together with her mother Dana Schweiger. In the RTL interview, mother and daughter are now talking for the first time about the decision to leave their home country of Germany.

“It was extremely difficult for me,” says Dana Schweiger, 54, openly describing the time she moved to the United States of America. “Emma wanted to go to American High School and have a little distance from her celebrity. And that was good for her too,” explains the native American. However, it was anything but easy for her, because she had to leave the other three children in Germany for her youngest daughter. It was not easy for anyone involved, she admits in an interview with RTL.
