Damian Lillard becomes the 2nd best passer in Blazers history

In top form, Damian Lillard (36 points, 10 assists) led his team to victory last night against Dallas. A new XXL perf from the leader which allows him to write a new page in the history books of the franchise. Here he is, the second best passer in the history of Portland.

Double reason to party on the Oregon side. On the one hand, the franchise ended its five-game losing streak by winning with authority against Luka Doncic’s Mavs. On the other hand, the historic leader of Portland continues to climb ever higher in the legend of the Blazers. The info had gone under the radar a bit but it’s official and confirmed by the franchise: thanks to his 10 assists last night, Damian Lillard was able to overtake a certain Clyde Drexler (again) in the list of the best passers of the history of the Blazers. He is now in second place.

In front of him, another caviar specialist, who knew Clyde Drexler well since he was his regular supplier for years: Terry Porter. The leader who passed through the NBA between the mid-80s and the beginning of the 2000s still has a small mattress ahead of Dame Dolla: exactly 380 assists to be exact. By staying on its current pace and trying to avoid sores, Lillard should be able to overtake Porter at the start of next season. Another accomplishment to add to the long list of Moda Center’s favorite arsonist.

Damian Lillard has moved up the All-Time list of Portland smugglers yet again. One more to be on top of the mountain and serve as the all-time leading scorer and passer in Blazers history.
