Dacia Spring promises more affordable electromobility, the first prices correspond to that

Dacia Spring is supposed to be an electric car for a wide range of motorists, but unlike similar proclamations from some other manufacturers, its price should correspond to this designation, if we mean people who can afford a new car and are not looking for a new car on the used market.

So far, we have had to trust the carmaker, but now we have the first prizes ahead of us. In France, a car costs from 12,403 euros (324,600 crowns) for individuals after taking into account the so-called ecological bonus, ie state subsidies coming from the pockets of those who do not want to drive an electric car. It is in the amount of 6000 euros (157 thousand crowns), so the actual price of spring in France is from 18 403 euros (481 600 crowns).

No one else sells such a cheap electric car, and indeed this price, especially after a state subsidy, makes it available to a wide range of customers. But they will have to significantly modify themselves in the name of electromobility.

Spring is not a completely new car, but a redesigned Renault City K-ZE, which is still sold in China. With a length of 3734 mm, it belongs to the smallest segment A, in addition, you will have to pay extra, for example, for air conditioning or for the possibility of charging with direct current, and even so, the spring can handle the highest output of 30 kW.

Unfortunately, the compromises do not end there. The highest power of the car is 45 hp and 125 Nm, the highest speed is 125 km / h, the battery has a capacity of only 26.8 kWh and the range is 225 km on a single charge.

The French will be able to order springs from March 20, and the cars will reach their first customers in the autumn of this year. Czech prices are to be revealed in about a month.
