The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 will be available to order from January 2023. The Jogger thus becomes the first car with a hybrid engine from Dacia.
The hybrid version of the Dacia Jogger will be available to order from January 2023. The first orders are expected to reach customers from March 2023.
Dacia Jogger will receive the first hybrid propulsion system from the Dacia offer. According to Dacia, the new engine offers a 40% reduction in fuel consumption compared to an equivalent internal combustion engine in an urban environment.
What specifications does Dacia’s first hybrid model have?
The hybrid system that the Jogger will get will consist of a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors. The internal combustion engine develops 90 HP, while the electric motor develops a power of 50 HP. The other motor is a high voltage starter/generator. The gearbox is an electrified automatic, with 4 stages dedicated to the internal combustion engine and another two for the electric one.
Dacia says regenerative braking, the high energy recovery capacity of the 1.2 kWh battery, plus the efficiency of the automatic gearbox, offer the possibility of cruising around town in 100% electric mode up to 80% weather.
The battery is charged while driving under braking or when the car is under engine braking. The range of the Jogger Hybrid 140 version is over 900 km. The hybrid system battery has an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
The Jogger Hybrid has some interesting features
The Jogger Hybrid 140 features an automatic transmission with a “Mode B” that enhances regenerative braking by increasing engine braking. The use of this mode allows for greater energy recovery. Therefore, the driver can reduce the use of the brake pedal by using regenerative braking.
The Jogger Hybrid 140 features a 7-inch diagonal digital dashboard that provides a variety of information for the driver such as battery charge level, remaining range and power flow. The Jogger Hybrid 140 includes an electronic parking brake as standard, as well as a high console with storage compartments and an armrest.
Dacia hasn’t yet offered pricing for the Jogger Hybrid, but it could be the most expensive model in the range.
